During the official talks at the headquarters of the Cuban
Foreign Ministry, both
diplomats analyzed the development of bilateral relations, which
they described as excellent.
Rodriguez Parrilla noted that cooperation plans between Cuba and
Belize are on the right track and that they will be boosted by
this visit of the Belizean foreign minister, who will preside
over his country’s delegation to the 12th Cuba-Belize
Intergovernmental Meeting.
The Cuban official thanked the visitor for his country’s support
of Cuba’s struggle
against Washington’s almost 50-year-old financial, commercial
and economic blockade against Havana.
For his part, Erlington expressed his satisfaction at the
current level of bilateral
relations and showed interest in further strengthening and
expanding these ties.
Earlier on Friday, the distinguished visitor and his
accompanying delegation laid a floral wreath before the monument
dedicated to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti at the Revolution
Square in Havana.
During his stay in Cuba, the Belizean Foreign Minister will also
visit places of historic and scientific interest.
